Every single day, we wake up to images of glam dolls of B-Town who wear the best of the fashion world. But can we really emulate their styles? Let’s be honest; we cannot. So, when we look at someone like Kiran Rao, who is known for her relaxed and easy-to-follow style, we do get some kind of respite, but it’s mostly momentary (pun intended). Her outfits don’t really make us jump off our seats and say oh my god!

Kiran mostly chooses unconventional labels like Nor Black Nor White, Raw Mango, Eka and Pero. But it’s more than evident that money gives you the freedom to buy the most expensive brands, but it cannot possibly knock some fashion sense into you. The lady had once confessed in one of her interviews that she is not much of a fashion aficionado and rarely follows trends.

But this time around, when Kiran stepped out in her geeky-ethnic avatar at Mukesh Ambani’s Ganesh Chaturthi bash, we were shocked. Of course, in a good way! It took us a while to really digest that it’s Kiran Rao, Aamir’s wife, who confidently flaunts even the most ridiculous outfits, wore something so elegant, in her own nerdy way! She donned this pretty pastel green banarasi silk saree with a heavy silver border and paired it with a sleeveless, high neck mustard blouse. Yeah, we don’t ever remember her making an appearance sans her pair of huge glasses. So, she obviously added her signature quirk with a pair of big glasses. She accessorised the look with a gold kada, delicate danglers, a big bindi and nude peep toes. But come on, let’s give some credit to the li’l handsome man Azad, who was dressed in a super cute pair of dhoti kurta, for making his mother look even more adorable.

What do you think about her ethnic look? Do you agree with us?
