Fire Destroys Hrithik Roshan – Ajay Devgns offices

Hrithik Roshan – Ajay Devgn, and many a Bollywood celebrities had their offices in Lotus Business Park at Andheri West. The highrise was engulfed in flames.The fire the cause of which is not known broke out at 10 a.m. when a majority of the office complexes in the building had not yet opened for the day’s work. Many a fireman got trapped inside. One fireman was killed and five others injured.

Many from the film industry, who own offices in the Lotus Business Park in Andheri (West), were shocked that firemen couldn’t reach beyond the 17th floor initially. Later with the help of a new snorkel they managed to reach the top floors.The fire brigade finally managed to reach the top floors only with the help of a new snorkel that was brought in. There was no escape route for the firemen trapped on the terrace as strong winds hampered fire-fighting operations.

As many as 40 fire tenders battled the flames even as a few people present on the lower floors were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Rakesh Roshan , Hrithik own five floors of the building — 4, 5, 15, 16 and 17. The filmmaker said “Thankfully, all of them were vacant. I really don’t know how much has been damaged in the fire, as the blaze was on the 21st floor and then it spread to another floor. All I can say is that it’s sheer bad luck.”

Pooja Shetty and Roshan’s said, “We buy properties in these tall buildings and now I am feeling stupid about doing so.This are just 22 floors in this building and there are a number of taller buildings in the city. I wonder what will happen to them if something similar happens.”
