First Look of Randeep Hooda as Swatantra Veer Savarkar unveiled

Randeep Hooda is all set to play the role of Veer Savarkar in an upcoming release Swatantra Veer Savarkar.  Today, on Savarkar’s 139th birth anniversary the makers of his biopic have unveiled the first look of Hooda as the freedom fighter. The Highway star took to Instagram and shared the first look poster that reads, ‘Hindutva Dharm Nahin, Itihaas Hai’.

Randeep Hooda shared the first look on Instagram and wrote, “This is a salute to one of the tallest unsung heroes of India’s struggle for freedom and self-actualisation. I hope I can live up to the challenge of filling such big shoes of a true revolutionary and tell his real story which had been brushed under the carpet for so long.. Wishing you all a very Happy #VeerSavarkarJayanti!”

This is not the first time Randeep Hooda has done a biopic. He was earlier seen as Sarabjit Singh in Sarbjit (2016) and Charles Sobhraj in Main Aur Charles (2015).

Swatantra Veer Savarkar is presented by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Legend Studios and produced by Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh and Sam Khan, Co-Produced by Roopa Pandit & Zafar Mehdi. The Mahesh Manjrekar directorial is going on the floor in August 2022.
