This year around, Friendship Day has been a little different. While we used to tie friendship bands earlier, this time we cannot even give our friends a hug. Social media has become our best friend in reaching our buddies. Even Bollywood celebrities took to their social media accounts to wish their best buddies on friendship day. From Anushka Sharma to Vicky Kaushal, here’s how B-Townies are celebrating their friendship day.

Anushka took to her Instagram account to share a picture of herself from her childhood. The actress was seen with her bunch of friends smiling ear to ear in the picture. The caption read, “You make a lot of friends in your life and each one of them have an important part to play in it. Knowingly or unknowingly, they all leave an impression on us. Some of them continue to be in touch and some you think of very fondly and their memories inevitably land up bringing a smile to your face. Being from an army background a lot of the friends we made we also lost touch with as and when their families got posted to different places. This one’s for all our friends. Kajol

Kajol also remembered her sisters on this friendship Day as she shared a picture of them along with her B-Town besties Shah Rukh Khan and director Karan Johar. The caption read, “Couldn’t fit all my friends in one frame. So loved am I. I am truly blessed. To all my friends who can be seen and can’t. Of my blood and not… #HappyFriendshipDay(sic)”

Ayushmann Khurrana

For Ayushmann Khurrana, friendship is simply priceless. His friends have been pillars of strength for him and he shares a beautiful bond with each one of them. Rochak Kohli, who is a successful composer in Bollywood, is one of Ayushmann’s oldest friend. Having been friends since 8th grade, Rochak and Ayushmann are friends who are honest with each other and stand by each other. On this Friendship Day, Ayushmann opens about how his friends have been a true anchor in his life. He says, “I have known Rochak since my 8th grade. We went to the same school, St. John’s high school in Chandigarh so since late 90’s. We became friends in school when we discovered that both of us are crazily passionate about music. There were other students also but we shared the common talent of composing and writing songs which was rare for students in the 8th grade.”
