‘Fukrey Returns’ gets rescheduled. Is it due to deferred release of ‘Padmavati’?

It seems the deferred release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie ‘Padmavati’ has scared the makers of other movies releasing in the next few weeks of December. After reports of ‘Monsoon Shootout’ being preponed made news, another movie’s release date has been preponed. We are talking about ‘Fukrey Returns’. The movie which was earlier scheduled to release on Dec 15 has now been preponed to Dec 8, 2017.

‘Fukrey Returns’ features Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Vishakha Singh and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. The first instalment of the movie was a sleeper hit at the box office. The change of release date in the movie hints towards SLB’s ‘Padmavati’ being the reason. Everyone knows for a fact that SLB’s movies turn out to be superhits. And with all the buzz around ‘Padmavati’, everyone has been awaiting the release of this movie with bated breath. So, with the movie’s release date being deferred, it seems like the makers of ‘Fukrey Returns’ decided to prepone the release date of their movie.
