Gangubai Kathiawadi: Alia Bhatt starrer to also release in Telugu; teaser to be out with Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab

Alia Bhatt is super excited to be collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Gangubai Kathiawadi. Interestingly, Bhansali’s magnum opus will also be releasing in Telugu. Yes, you read that right. The teaser of the film’s Telugu version will be released tomorrow with Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film Vakeel Saab.

Earlier today, Alia shared the news via her social media handle. The Dear Zindagi actress also had a special message for Pawan Kalyan’s fans.

Sharing her excitement, Alia posted a video message alongside the caption, “Releasing our #GangubaiKathiawadi teaser in TELUGU on the big screen with #VakeelSaab (sic).” Alia said that she is honoured to be releasing the Telugu teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi with Vakeel Saab. She also wished luck to the team of Pawan Kalyan starrer ahead of their film’s release.

Helmed by Sriram Venu, Vakeel Saab is the official Telugu remake of Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Kriti Kulhari starrer Pink. Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the film also features Shruti Haasan, Prakash Raj, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla in pivotal roles.

Coming back to Gangubai Kathiwadi, the film is scheduled to release on July 30. The film is based on S Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Alia will be playing the titular role in this highly anticipated film. The young actress had recently tested positive for Covid and she is currently under home quarantine.
