Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi gets a UA certificate as it undergoes minor cuts

With many movies releasing soon in theatres, everyone is looking forward to Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi. The buzz around the movie is just right and the makers are making sure of that. The trailer of the movie was released recently and it managed to please the taste buds of the audience. Alia Bhatt’s performance in the trailer was much loved and appreciated. As Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to release in theatres soon, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the Alia Bhatt movie a UA certificate.

According to reports in India Today, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed movie has undergone minor cuts, but it has been awarded a UA certificate. Reportedly, the duration of Gangubai Kathiawadi has been reduced by a minute or two, after the minor cuts and changes made in the movie. As per the reports, a scene in the movie where India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, embedding a rose on Gangubai has been corrected.

Meanwhile, the makers of the movie released the first song titled Dholida, on Thursday. With the song, SLB brings back Garba. The song features Alia Bhatt delivering a stellar performance. The actress makes a stunning appearance as she dances the Dholida to the beats of the dhol.

Talking about the upcoming movie, the Alia Bhatt starrer was also screened at the Berlin Film Festival 2022. It was loved by all. Apart from that, after the trailer release of Gangubai Kathiawadi, the audience is eager to catch a glimpse of Alia as Gangubai.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is slated to release in theatres on February 25. The movie features Ajay Devgn in a cameo appearance, apart from Alia. It also features Vijay Raaz and Seema Pahwa.
