Geet aka Kareena from ‘Jab We Met’ inspired Anushka to do films

One of the best films of Imtiaz Ali is undoubtedly Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer ‘Jab We Met’ (‘JWM’). Kareena’s portrayal of Geet made her win many awards, but not many people know that her character inspired Anushka Sharma to do films.

At the trailer launch of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, Anushka said, “I have been waiting to work with Imtiaz for the longest time. I remember watching ‘Jab We Met’ in Bikaner with my parents and I felt this is an amazing film. Looking at the character of Geet (essayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan) I felt I should be doing films. I enjoyed collaborating with him for this film.”

‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ gets Anushka and Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen together for the third time. The trailer and the songs of the film are getting a positive response. The movie will be hitting the screens on August 4, 2017.
