Geeta Basra defends Anushka Sharma

Bollywood actress Geeta Basra is the girlfriend of cricketer Harbhajan Singh. She is not happy that the wives and girlfriends of Team India being blamed for our cricketer’s poor performance in the recent Test series in England. She has come up in defense of Actress Anushka Sharma being blamed for Virat’s bad performance there.

Anushka Sharma was recently in the centre of the storm, surrounding our cricketers under-performance at the test series. The actress had accompanied her apparent beau to England where he was playing a match with England Cricket Team.

Sources further added that, Geeta back from London defended Anushka. She feels that putting the blame squarely on her Bollywood colleague and fellow WAG, Anushka Sharma for ‘distracting’ Virat Kohli, by accompanying him to the series, is silly. Players go through ups and downs. Finding a scapegoat is unfair.

The fans and BCCI too had blamed the actress for Virat’s underperformance. Incidentally the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly denied allegations of them restricting the wives and girlfriends on tours.
