Geeta Basra REVEALS suffering two miscarriages before her second pregnancy

Actress Geeta Basra recently welcomed her second child with her husband Harbhajan Singh. The couple was blessed with a baby boy on July 10. They have named him Jovan Veer Singh Plaha. Geeta and Harbhajan already have a cute daughter Hinaya Heer Plaha.

The Dil Diya Hai actress recently opened up about suffering two miscarriages before son Jovan’s birth. Yes, Geeta suffered two miscarriages in the last two years. Sharing her traumatic experience, Geeta had an important message for all women who have suffered miscarriages. She advised them to not lose hope and ‘suffer in silence yearning for a child’.

Opening up about her traumatic experience, Geeta told Times of India, “I want to tell those women who have had miscarriages and lost hope to pick themselves up again. They should not give up and suffer in silence yearning for a child. Yes, a miscarriage can have a terrible effect on you from which you might take a long time to come out. A couple of my friends have had miscarriages. But we as women have to learn to put this behind us in the quickest possible time.”

Geeta also shared how she kept herself from breaking down. “The last two years have been traumatic for me no doubt but I held myself from breaking down. A woman’s hormones after a miscarriage go up and down a lot, which, in turn, makes it extremely difficult for her to maintain her composure. I kept myself strong and did not allow that meltdown to happen.” Thankfully, when Geeta was pregnant with her son Jovan, she took all the necessary precautions. Long walks and yoga helped her a lot.

Upon the arrival of her son, Geeta had revealed his name with a cute video. She had also thanked her well-wishers with a sweet post that read “A new little hand for us to hold, his love is grand, precious as gold. A wonderful gift, so special and sweet. Our hearts are full, our lives complete.We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy..We are overwhelmed with joy and would like to extend our gratitude to all our well-wishes for their constant love and support (sic).”

Geeta had welcomed her first child in 2016. She suffered two miscarriages in 2019 and 2020.
