Geeta Kapoor arrested for knocking down a man

Bollywood choreographer Geeta Kapoor’s vehicle mowed down a pedestrian on JP Road, injuring him badly. This incident occurred outside Mohan medical store from where the victim Nisar Mohammed had stepped out and was hit by Kapoor’s vehicle. The victim, who works as a repairman and a driver, suffered a fracture in his right leg and is out of danger. The judge of the reality dance show was arrested by the Versova police on charges of rash driving. Geeta Kapoor was later realised on bail.

According to Kapoor’s statement, at the time of the accident she was driving home after dropping off a friend at Yari Road. Allegedly, a speeding bike approached Kapoor’s car from the opposite direction, forcing her to steer away the vehicle, which spun out of control and hit the victim. Kapoor informed the police about the accident and helped call in the ambulance that rushed the victim to the Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani hospital nearby Andheri.

The police too have confirmed that Geeta was not driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
