Genelia Deshmukh to play the leading lady in Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par- Report

Aamir Khan is set to make his comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par. A few days ago, Aamir revealed that he is starring in and producing his film Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor had also mentioned that the upcoming film will make you ‘cry and laugh’. Now, as per latest reports, Genelia Deshmukh has come on board as a leading lady in Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par. Yes, Genelia will be reportedly playing Aamir’s love interest.

Genelia Deshmukh to romance Aamir Khan

Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “Aamir believes that Genelia fits the part of a strong independent woman like a hand in a glove. After ample discussions with his director, Aamir has got Genelia on board the film as the female lead. Genelia will play Aamir’s love interest and also be on a journey with the protagonist in training a team of specially-abled.”

The report added, “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was produced by Aamir and this one has him in the lead. Genelia is also very excited to play the part and team up with Aamir for the first time. It’s a perfect casting given the demand of script and character arc.”

Earlier, in an interview with News18, Aamir had revealed, “In Taare Zameen Par, I helped Darsheel’s character, but in this film nine people, with their own set of problems will help me.”

Aamir was last seen in Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor starred opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya in the same. Laal Singh Chaddha released in August last year but failed to do well at the box office. However, it received a good response when it released on Netflix.
