General Bipin Rawat Demise: Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ajay Devgn and other celebs offer condolences

India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat’s death has shaken the entire nation. Along with Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat also died on Wednesday (December 8) after a military chopper crashed in Tamil Nadu, killing 13 on board. The only survivor, an Air Force Group Captain, is being treated for severe burns. The Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed the news as they tweeted, “With deep regret, it has now been ascertained that Gen Bipin Rawat, Mrs Madhulika Rawat and 11 other persons on board have died in the unfortunate accident”.

Condolences are pouring in for Bipin Rawat, his wife and the others passed away in the crash. Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher and others paid tribute on social media.

Salman Khan tweeted, “Very sad to hear of the tragic crash in which we have lost Gen Bipin Rawat his wife and other personnel from the Armed forces. My thoughts my prayers and condolences are with the bereaved families …”

Ajay Devgn also mourned the demise of Rawat, his wife and his troops. “Grieved to know about the untimely demise of Gen. Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and his troops of the Indian Armed Forces. My deepest condolences to all their families. ?,” tweeted Devgn.
