Godfather: Salman Khan and Chiranjeevi to begin shoot from this date

Superstar Salman Khan has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming release Tiger 3. The espionage thriller also features Katrin Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles. Reportedly Salman Khan will now begin to shoot for Chiranjeevi starrer Godfather. According to Pinkvilla reports Salman Khan will begin shooting for Godfather from March 12.

The movie is a remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer that features Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. The Telugu version will have Chiranjeevi in the leading role, while Salman Khan will reportedly step into Prithviraj Sukumaran’s role.

As reported by sources to Pinkvilla, “This shoot was supposed to take place in January; however, it was delayed as Chiranjeevi tested positive for Covid. Soon after, Salman dived into the final schedule of Tiger 3 and with everything now under place, Salman and Chiru are finally uniting at ND Studios in Karjat from March 12. It’s going to be a weeklong schedule with the two superstars as they will be shooting some action and dramatic scenes in the set-up.”

Sources added, “Chiranjeevi will be flying to Mumbai soon for this important schedule and there is a high possibility he will stay at Salman Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel during his stay in Mumbai. After calling it a wrap on Godfather, Salman is expected to do a photo shoot for his December 30, 2022 release, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The movie also features Pooja Hegde as the female lead.”

An official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.

On the work front, Salman Khan has Kabhie Eid Kabhi Diwali, Tiger 3, a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
