Veteran actor Harish Magon is no more. He passed away at the age of 76 on June 1, 2023. The cause of his death is yet to be revealed. The veteran actor starred in several Hindi films including Gol Maal, Namak Halal, Chupke Chupke, Inkaar, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, and Shahensha.

Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) shared the news of his passing on Twitter. The tweet read, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Harish Magon (Member since JUNE. 1988).”

Harish was one of the most well-known actors in the industry. Apart from acting in movies, he also ran an acting institute, Harish Magon Acting Institute in Mumbai.

Film historian Pavan Jha took to Twitter to moun the demise of the actor. He shared a video of the late actor from the 1975 film Aandhi and wrote, “Harish Magon – #InMemories. Will always be remembered for those cute cameos in Hindi Cinema. A graduate from FTII, he was a close friend of Gulzar’s assistant Meraj and hence get to face the camera here in #Aandhi song for a break.”

He went on to add, “Another cute little appearance of Harish was in Gulzar’s Khushboo in the Sharmila intro scene with Jeetendra & Harish getting a memorable dialogue ‘Yaar ye bhoot itne khoobsurat hote hai, mujhe nahi maloom tha.”

He continued, “Yet one of the most memorable outing for Harish Magon was Hrishi da’s Golmaal for small Interview scene, as Sunila Gavaskar’s classmate & Black pearl’s fan. That’s how a small appearance on silver screen can make you live beyond your life time.”

Harish, who last delivered a good performance in Uff! Ye Mohabbat, will be remembered by his fans.
