Earlier many actresses like Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, and Parineeti Chopra among others have opened about battling depression. Now, the latest to talk about depression is Anjana Sukhani. Anjana was seen in Bollywood movies like ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, ‘Golmaal Returns’ and ‘Coffee with D’ among others. She took a sabbatical and was out of the limelight. Anjana has spoked to Mumbai Mirror about battling depression and how she came out of it.
Anjana lost her aunt and maternal grandmother and talking about it, she said, “My maasi was not married, so I was with her in the hospital all the time, including during the chemotherapy sessions. The pain and suffering she went through in that one year changed a lot of things in me.”
Anjana spoke to her brother about her condition and realised that she was suffering from depression. “I kept telling him that some days I felt lost and hated speaking to anyone even on the phone when I was in this dark place, while on other days I was my usual bubbly self.” Then her brother advised her to seek professional help.

After a hiatus, Anjana will be seen in ‘Good Newwz’ where she plays Akshay Kumar’s on-screen sister.
