‘Good Newwz’: Karan Johar cried watching the ending, thinking about his own unusual way of becoming a father

Karan Johar is the proud father of twins – Yash and Roohi. The ace filmmaker has never quite candidly spoken up about having the twins via surrogacy. KJo did the same at the ‘Good Newwz’ trailer launch – a film he is producing. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, Kiara Advani and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles, and people have already started going gaga over its trailer.

So at the trailer launch a little while ago, when Karan was asked as to why he decided to back a film with such a unique yet interesting topic, he opened his heart out. Karan Johar said, “I cried a lot by the end of the film. Because for me it connected with me personally. Even I have had kids in an unusual way and it connected with the parent in me.”

It’s true that Karan Johar is an extremely emotional person and never tries to hide his emotions. So it doesn’t come in as a surprise that he started weeping after seeing the ending of ‘Good Newwz’.

Talking of the film, it’s a laugh-a-ton from what the trailers portray it to be. The biggest goof-up in any person’s life can be of their kids and in this one, both Akshay-Kareena and Diljit-Kiara have their babies mixed up. The comedy of errors that ensues after that is sure to make you go ROFL.

‘Good Newwz’ hits theatres on Salman Khan’s birthday December 27. It releases a week after ‘Dabangg 3’, and therefore, will have a clear shot at the Christmas-New Year holiday weekend. Let’s wait and watch whether ‘Good Newwz’ turns out to be Akshay Kumar’s 4th blockbuster this year or not.
