Govinda discharged from the hospital
Govinda was admitted to Criticare Asia Hospital on Tuesday morning after sustaining a gunshot wound to his leg in the early hours. The injury was reportedly caused by his own licensed revolver. He explained that it was an accident that occurred while he was cleaning the firearm before heading to the airport. And he revealed that he was alone at home at the time.
Despite no formal complaint being filed, the Mumbai police launched an investigation into the incident. The Crime Branch conducted a parallel inquiry and recorded Govinda’s statement as well. Although they ruled out foul play, sources indicated to News 18 that the police had reservations about the actor’s account.
Recovery Process
The medical team treating the actor reported that his condition was stable and that the bullet had been removed shortly after his admission. Following a three-day stay in the hospital post-surgery, Dr. Ramesh Agarwal, who oversaw his treatment, stated to ANI upon his discharge, “He (Govinda) has been advised to rest for 3-4 weeks now. His exercises and physiotherapy will continue. He is fine and will rest at home.” Govinda was discharged this morning, while leaving he was seen waving at his fans.
Throughout his hospitalization, several Bollywood personalities, including David Dhawan, Raveena Tandon, Rajpal Yadav, Jackky Bhagnani, and Shatrughan Sinha, visited to offer their support.
