Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) created a huge uproar in the country. The CAA was passed by the Parliament of India on December 11, 2019, and from commoners to celebs like Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, Anubhav Sinha, and Dia Mirza among others voiced their opinion on it.
Now, Govinda has spoken on CAA. Govinda was in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh recently and at the event, he spoke about the IIFA Awards and CAA. On CAA, he said, “I will not say anything, I have left politics, if I say anything, it will be the same, Tujhko Mirchi Lagi To Me Kya Karu? “
While talking about the IIFA Awards that is to be held in Indore, he said, “Madhya Pradesh is the heart of Hindustan and the film line is the voice that comes from the heart that reaches the whole world. I pray to God that it works. Narmada Maiya has always been a blessing”. He further said, “I have come to know that Khargone is second on cleanliness. I think the first and second numbers are nothing. Our city should be strict.”
Meanwhile, Govinda received the Excellence in Cinema award at the 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020 for his contribution towards films.
