In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble for Chemistry 101, Govinda revealed his mother had warned him to never betray wife Sunita Ahuja.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. Govinda and Sunita recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble for the chat show ‘Chemistry 101’ The power couple spilled the beans on their marriage and revealed anecdotes from their love story. During the conversation, Govinda revealed that his mother had warned him never to ditch wife Sunita.

Govinda’s mom warned him to never betray wife

The actor told us, “She told me if you ditch her, unhone bahur ganda lafz istemaal kara. Unhone kaha tu bheek maangega agar tu ise dhoka dega. I said, ‘Mummy, itna pyaar karti hai aap.’ Sacchi yaar, laxmi hai woh (She used a dirty word. She said you’ll beg if you betray her. I said, ‘Mummy, you love her so much’. Really, she’s Goddess Laxmi) My mom used to say about her. Aur woh sach hai ki woh jis din se ghar mein humari aayi (And it is true that since the day she came to our house), we have never looked back.”

The power couple also revealed that they kept their wedding a secret for a year. When asked about the reason, Sunita said, “We got married in 1987 and at that time he was on peak of his career. During that time it was that if a hero tied the knot his fan following drastically drops. Girls think that, oh he is a married man now so useless to follow him.”

Sunita added, “So I told him that sign as many films as you can in a year we will live quietly. But once my daughter was born Tina then we declared on her first birthday that we are married. So, for a year we kept our marriage a secret, I used to hide in my room so that no one should see me. See in love you do such things.”

Sunita and Govinda have two children – Tina and Yashvardhan. During the chat, the power couple also opened up about parenting both Tina and Yashvardhan. That’s not all, they also opened up on their fallout with Krishna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, and Aarti Singh.
