Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Dangal’ is one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie is slated to release during the Christmas weekend (December 23) and the trailer of the film will be attached with Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’. But, before the trailer hits the big screen, Aamir will be launching the trailer with a grand event. Aamir has a tradition that his films release during Christmas and the trailer is out during Diwali. But, this time he has decided to launch the trailer a week before the festival of lights.
A source has stated, “Last week, Aamir showed the film to a few of his very close friends to know their reactions and their positive response prompted him to have a screening of the trailer a week before it hits the screens with ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’ on Diwali. He feels if his trailer is seen for the first time with these two films, it will get diluted. While he will get eyeballs with its theatrical release with these two films, Aamir wants more. The trailer will first be launched at a grand event and across social media and then in the theatres.”
Mr. Perfectionist recently showed the trailer and a few more rushes of the movie to a selected group of people. This group of people included his chartered accountant, driver, best friends, shop keepers and a few others. The actor took their honest feedback to understand everyone’s perspective about the film. A source reveals that Aamir also asked the people if the film looks like Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’. The source said, “Aamir’s friends said that ‘Dangal’ is nothing like the Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ is a biopic on wrestler Mahavir Phogat and it also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
