‘Gully Boy’ fever grips DJ Diplo; morphs his photo on Ranveer Singh’s poster

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been gripping the entire nation with his rap in the upcoming film ‘Gully Boy’.  The fever of ‘Apna Time Aayega’ has not just gripped the nation but has also gone international. Yes, you heard it right. Notably, Grammy award winner Diplo uploaded a poster of ‘Gully Boy‘ and edited his own face with Ranveer Singh.

Taking to his official Twitter account, DJ Diplo posted the first poster of the film that was released with Ranveer in a Hoodie with an edited face of the DJ instead, with ‘Random White Guy’ written on it. Take a look:

Interestingly, this particular poster of the film had become viral and there were many memes made on it too. Notably, DJ Diplo has previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan for one of his films.

‘Gully Boy’ is based on the life story of street rappers Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy who are known for their song ‘Mere Gully Mein’. Ranveer will be seen playing the role of an underground rapper and a part of his journey to become famous has been shown in the film. The film has been directed by Zoya Akhtar and also marks Ranveer and Alia’s first collaboration. Apart from the lead duo, ‘Gully Boy’ also stars Kubbra Sait and Kalki Koechlin in vital roles. It will hit the theatres on February 14.

Apart from this, Ranveer and Alia will also share screen space in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial ‘Takht’. The period drama is set in the Mughal era and also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar in key roles.
