‘Gully Boy’: Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s rap-drama to be remade in Telugu?

Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ (starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt) has been applauded by the international crowd at Berlin International Film Festival. The rap-bonanza ‘Gully Boy’ is based on the lives of two aspiring rappers Divine and Naezy.

Ever since the trailer of ‘Gully Boy’ was released, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have been rocking the headlines for their commendable work. The film has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in three days, and is expected to smash several records at the ticket window. Looking at the tremendous success of the film, producer and distributor Allu Arvind has shown interest remaking ‘Gully Boy’ in Telugu.

According to reports, Telugu actor and son of Chiranjeevi’s sister, Sai Dharam Tej is being considered for the role played by Ranveer Singh in the Hindi version of ‘Gully Boy’. However, there has been no official announcement made as of now.

Apart from Ranveer and Alia, ‘Gully Boy’ features Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles. It is to be noted that ‘Gully Boy’ was the second collaboration of Ranveer with Zoya Akhtar after ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. Looks like ‘Gully Boy’ is all set to cross Zoya’s current top grosser ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ which stands at Rs 90.27 crore at the ticket window.

Ranveer Singh is currently busy preparing for his next ’83’ in which he will be seen playing the role of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt will be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor that is releasing Christmas 2019.
