Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh proven guilty of rape, taken into police custody

Self-proclaimed miracle man Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insaan is now deep into trouble. The actor-producer has been convicted of rape charges after being pronounced guilty by a Haryana court, and has been taken into police custody.

In 2002, the spiritual guru was accused of raping two women, out of which one was reportedly a minor. He has been arrested today and is likely to be sentenced on Monday. (Also Read:  Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji is back with his online gurukul!)

As expected, his followers are already into creating a ruckus. They’ve caused destruction to a number of media vans. The police had to intervene, in order to bring the situation into control. Tear gas and water cannons were used.

Since morning, the court near Panchkula in Haryana witnessed thousands of followers gathering in wait of the verdict. Ram Rahim Singh Ji arrived in a 200-car conclave.

A few days back, the motion poster of his forthcoming release ‘Online Gurukul’ hit the headlines.  With the man himself being arrested, we don’t know what’s in the film’s fate.
