Bollywood filmmaker Hansal Mehta is not someone who keeps mum. The ‘Shahid’ director is know for taking to social media and speaking his mind – be it to praise someone or something, or slam them for their wrongdoings. Mehta took to his Twitter handle a couple of hours ago and slammed government officials for ‘harassing’ his daughter. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Hansal Mehta wrote, “My daughter has been trying to apply for an Aadhar card since past 3 weeks. She makes the long trek to the Aadhar office in Andheri East braving rains, going early enough and the senior manager there keeps sending her back on some pretext or the other. Get this signed, get this document, the stamp is not in the correct place, you dont have an appointment today, I am on leave for a week… (sic)”
The filmmaker continued, “This is most frustrating and nothing short of harassment.”
Soon after his tweet went viral, several netizens took the comments to share similar ordeals. Some even shared help and advice on how to deal with the issue on the micro-blogging site.
On the work front, Hansal Mehta’s next directorial venture is The Buckingham Murders, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. Set to release in theatres on September 13, the film will see Kareena play a detective named Jass Bhamra.
