Hansika Motwani addresses ‘crap’ rumours about her mother giving her hormonal injections to grow faster

Actor Hansika Motwani has finally reacted to the wild rumours about her mother Mona giving her hormonal injections to grow faster, while she was younger. The actress addressed the rumours and said that it is the ‘expense of being a celebrity’. She said that many wrote ‘crap’ about her at the age of 21. Hansika Motwani addressed the rumours and spoke at length about it with her mother, Mona Motwani.

Hansika, who started her acting career as a child actor featured in the popular show Shaka Laka Boom Boom and the Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer Koi Mil Gaya. However, a few years later, when Motwani featured in movies, her fans were surprised with how quickly the actress had grown up. Back then, many levelled accusations against Hansika’s mother for giving her daughter hormonal injections.

Addressing the rumours on her show Love Shaadi Drama, the actress said, “This is the expense of being a celebrity. They wrote such crap when I was 21, you know what I am talking about. If I could have taken it that time, I can take it this time. This time is nothing. Everyone wrote I have taken injections to grow up.”

Motwani continued, “When I was eight, then I became an actress, people said that my mum has given me injections, hormonal injections to grow up as a woman.”

Hansika’s mother Mona further added, “If that is true, then I must be richer than Tata, Birla. If that is true, then I would have said, ‘Tum bhi aao, aa kar apni haddi baddi karvao (You also come to me and help yourself grow taller)..“

Mona Motwani continued, “What I am surprised about is that people who write this, Unke pass dimaag naam ki cheez nahi hoti hai kya (Don’t they have common sense)? We are Punjabi people, our daughters shoot up between the age of 12 and 16.”

During the show, Hansika, who also faced criticism after the news of her engagement to Sohael Khaturiya made headlines also addressed trolls. The actress reacted to the same and slammed all who trolled her after the news of her attending Sohael’s first wedding broke out.

Meanwhile, Motwani tied the knot with her long-time friend, Sohael Khaturiya on December 4, last year. The couple got married in Rajasthan’s Jaipur and it was a star-studded event. Hansika’s show Love Shaadi Drama focuses on the time she planned her wedding with Sohael until their D-day.
