Happy 37th Birthday Rani Mukerji

One of Bollywood’s most loved actresses Rani Mukherji turns 36 today. Rani was born on 21 March 1978 in the prestigious Mukerji family of Bollywood. Her father, Ram Mukherjee, is a former film director and one of the founders of Filmalaya Studios. Her mother, Krishna Mukherjee, is a former playback singer.

Rani had floored the audience with her husky voice right from her debut film ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’. But she gained fame with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ where she was cast opposite King Khan and cousin Kajol. Though Rani is not much seen in films these days but she still has the charisma to entice her fans. Her recent female oriented flick “Mardaani” garnered her appreciation from all over.

Rani Mukerji secretly tied the knot with her beau film-maker Aditya Chopra last year. Mukerji is involved with several humanitarian causes and is vocal about issues faced by women and children. She has participated in concert tours and stage shows, and featured as a talent judge for the 2009 reality show Dance Premier League.
