‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’: Here’s how the director got the idea about the film

The trailer of ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ is out and as expected it is amazing. Today, at the trailer launch of the film, the director of the movie, Mudassar Aziz revealed how he got the idea to make this run-com.

When we asked Mudassar if the movie will face any issue in Pakistan as it has a connection with the neighbouring country, he said, “Why there will be any issue? 70 years ago these two countries were divided. Amritsar and Lahore were called twin cities.”

Pointing out to us he said that it’s an interesting question that we asked.

He further went on to reveal how he got the idea of the film. The director stated, “I was in Punjab for some other film and when I came to my hotel room, I started watching Raj Kapoor’s ‘Heena’. I started thinking that Raj sahab has made this film which has social drama with a love story, and the connection you are talking about. So, I wondered that It’s been 70 years and no one has laughed on it. I think it needed a sense of humour and I feel the proud about the fact that this is the first cross border comedy ever.”

Well, we must say that the idea of cross border comedy film is really something unique.
