‘Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns’: Double dose of Happy-ness with Sonakshi and Diana

‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ starring Diana Penty, Ali Fazal and Abhay Deol was a sweet film that won many accolades from all corners. The performances were appreciated and so was the story. Following the kind words, the makers of this film are gearing up for the second instalment of this film. But there’s a delightful edition to the team. Sonakshi Sinha has come on-board for part two.

The official announcement was made recently with Sonakshi expressing her excitement for this project. She has been quoted saying, “I’m thrilled to be on board of this really positive, vibrant and most importantly happy film unit! Yaay… so we will get a double dose of happiness. Sonakshi would be the new Happy in this film while Diana and other stars would retain their characters.

The original Happy aka Diana has quipped, “‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ was a special film for me, so being part of ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns’ is like going back to family! ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ was a fun, roller-coaster of a ride and I’m sure this one is going to be as much of a riot! I’m looking forward to the shoot.”

It is being produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and will be directed by Mudassar Aziz.
