Happy Birthday Amitabh Bachchan: Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn & others pen heartwarming wishes for Big B

Amitabh Bachchan is one of Hindi cinema’s biggest superstar. Referred to as the Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh began his film career in 1969 as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s film Bhuvan Shome. Big B has been a part of films like Zanjeer, Deewaar, Sholay, Silsila, and Coolie among others. Amitabh recently delivered a terrific performance in Goodbye. The veteran actor is celebrating his birthday today. For the uninitiated, Big B turned 80 years old. Fans are showering love on him.

Several celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Rajinikanth among others took to their respective social media handles to shower birthday love on Big B.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and shared a picture with Big B and wrote, “Sending my best wishes to the man who’s the one single reason behind an entire generation wanting to be a hero in films. My inspiration, Bachchan Saab! Wish you a very happy 80^th birthday @SrBachchan sir.”

Ajay Devgn shared a video with Big B and penned a heartfelt birthday wish for him. The actor tweeted, “Happy 80^th birthday @SrBachchan! Wishing you a splendid year ahead Sir. You are actually way ahead of all of us and we’re just striving to live up to the best – YOU.” Rajinikanth also extended birthday wish and wrote, “The legend… someone who has inspired me always… the one true sensation and superhero of our glorious Indian film fraternity enters 80… happy birthday my dearest and most respected @SrBachchan Amitabh ji… with lots of love and best regards always.”

Shweta Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda, Kunal Kemmu, Soha Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Neetu Kapoor among others also showered birthday love on him.
