The festival of colours is tomorrow! As we all gear up for the celebration, it is also essential to take good care of your skin and hair. Beauty experts swear by applying oil or moisturiser before you set off the celebration. Vidya says she likes to apply a coconut based hair oil on her skin. "I don’t leave my house without massaging a Coconut-based Hair Oil onto my skin. I honestly feel that this is the most natural way to keep harmful colours away. Not just that, colour come off easy and the coconut based oil protects my skin from sun rays when I step outside!," she said.

The harsh chemicals present in the colours are the biggest enemy of your skin. Oganic colours are in trend for quite a few years now, and Vidya chooses them too. "We make sure all the colours we use on Holi are organic," she says.

Applying oil on hair is a great way to wash it off easily later. "My mother always applies a Coconut-based Hair Oil onto our scalp & hair too. We realized that using a oil on hair works better to help those colours come off and acts a as protective layer between our hair and the colors," Vidya emphasises.

Even as you drench yourself in colours, you ust look great. Right? Apart from a suitable attire, keep your hair simple, managable yet pretty. Vidya prefers a loose braid. "I am very particular about my hair. Before I step out, it needs to look great. Even with oil! I massage a Coconut-based hair oil into my hair, comb it well and then tie it in a loose braid. This way I am able to keep my hair away from my face and just enjoy the festival," she says.
