Bollywood films and controversies go hand in hand, don’t they? Now, the latest film which has faced the controversy is Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’. This rapping extravaganza has done outstanding business at the box-office. Singer and rapper Hard Kaur has now blasted Zoya Akhtar over her venture ‘Gully Boy’.
Hard Kaur, in an interview, said that the film should have concentrated more on showing original rappers and not Ranveer Singh as a lead. The fiery rapper said that no sponsor or brand would have associated with the film without his star power or charisma.

Hard Kaur is certainly feeling very angry, but on the contrary, quite a few rappers did make an appearance in ‘Gully Boy’ and were part of the project from the beginning. The film was not a biopic and it was inspired by the lives of rappers and how they make a name for themselves.
‘Gully Boy’, at the end of the day, was a commercial film and it needed the star appeal of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Another breakout performance from ‘Gully Boy’ was that of Siddhant Chaturvedi as MC Sher and Vijay Varma as Moeen.

‘Gully Boy’, according to many experts, is this year’s finest film till date and it is beautifully executed by Zoya Akhtar. Looks like it is a case of sour grapes for rapper Hard Kaur.
