Hardik Pandya: “Mummy boli ‘tumhare accounts mein main partner rahungi'”
In 2017 – years before he married actress-model Natasa Stankovic, Hardik Pandya interacted with Gaurav Kapoor and spoke about his mother owing his assets. Talking about how his mother has a say in how he spends whatever he earns, the cricketer told the host, “Mummy boli ‘tumhare accounts mein main partner rahungi.’ Mere father ke account mein mummy ka naam hai, bhai ke account mein bhi aur mere account mein bhi. Sab unke naam pe hai. (My mom said, ‘I want to be a partner in all your accounts.’ So she is added to my father’s, brother’s and my accounts.)”
Hardik: “Sab mom ke naam pe hain”
During the same conversation, Hardik also stated that he does not trust himself when it comes to finances and hence has entrusted its management to his mother. He also revealed that his assets are registered under his mother’s name to avoid losing 50% of it to someone else in the future.
He said, “Sab unke naam pe hain, from having a car to having a house to everything. I’m like mera bharosa nahi, main mera naam pe nahi lunga. 50% nahi dena hain kissi ko aage jaake. Maine bolo main apne naam pe nahi lunga, 50% bada chubega. Usse aacha tum log ke naam rakh lo kuch jayega nahi. (Everything is on her name. I don’t have anything registered in my name. I don’t want to give anyone 50% of my assets (during a divorce). Parting 50% will hurt a lot, hence I put my things in my mother’s name. It will be safe.)”
