Harshvardhan Kapoor to share screen space with dad Anil Kapoor in Abhinav Bindra biopic

Actor Anil Kapoor and son Harshvardhan Kapoor are now all set to play father and son on screen as well, in the Abhinav Bindra biopic.

While Harshvardhan plays the world renowned shooter and Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra, Anil will be seen playing his father, industrialist-millionaire AS Bindra, who runs a successful agro-food business in Chandigarh, Punjab. Confirms an insider, “The finance, cast, studio and script are all in place. Abhinav has given the go-ahead. Right now, they are figuring out the dates as they want to start shooting in summer. Anil is currently in London, shooting.”

The source adds that Abhinav’s father, AS was the backbone behind his victory. “After Abhinav returned from the Sydney Olympics, his father invested in a farmhouse where Abhinav could stay and shoot. He always arranged the best for his son. For over 20 years, he has helped his son pursue his dream. Anil loved the script and has given the nod,” adds the insider.

The film will be directed by ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ director Kannan Iyer and will go on floors in summer this year. Anil is currently shooting for ‘Mubarakan’ in London.
