After Gadar 2 success, has Sunny Deol signed more action films? Here’s what we know

The Sunny Deol starrer Gadar – The Katha Continues is shattering the box office, and how! Gadar 2 is headlined by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, along with Utkarsh Sharma. The film is directed by Anil Sharma and was released on 11 August.

As Sunny Deol has delivered a roaring performance in Gadar 2, the actor is reportedly looking forward to doing a few more iconic projects, including Border 2. After delivering a stunning character in Gadar 2, the actor has two more films in the pipeline.

Sunny Deol to star in two action-packed films?

According to Pinkvilla, a source close to the portal has revealed that Sunny Deol is doing Ahmed Khan’s action-packed ‘Baap’. Along with this, he is also doing a remake of a Malayalam film titled ‘Joseph’. Reportedly, the films hit the floors in the previous year and have a few segments to be wrapped up. The portal has also reported that one big portion of Baap is to be shot along with the last schedule of Joseph’s remake.

Apparently, the actor is in discussion for 3–4 projects, which include discussions with JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta for Border 2. It also includes the legal proceedings of the ‘Ayodhya Ramajanma Bhoomi’ matter. Reportedly, Baap will include ace actors such as Jackie Shroff, Mithun Chakraborty, and Sanjay Dutt. Meanwhile, the remake of Joseph is tentatively titled Soorya and will also star Chitrangada Singh and Sunny Deol. Both films will be released next year.

Currently, Sunny Deol is basking in the glittery success of Gadar 2. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 was also released on the same day as Gadar 2. Despite the clash, both films are performing exceptionally well at the box office. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has smoothly entered the 400-crore club. The total domestic collection of Gadar 2 stands at Rs.419.10 crore.
