Heera Mandi: Kartik Aaryan to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the most sought after filmmakers in Bollywood. Working with him is on every actors’ wishlist. And looks like Kartik Aaryan is all set to check it off his wishlist. If the latest reports are anything to go by then very soon Kartik and Bhansali will be teaming up for Heera Mandi.

Bhansali, who had earlier planned Heera Mandi as a film, will now be turning his passion project into a web series. While the show is women-centric, Bhansali has reportedly offered a very edgy role to the Love Aaj Kal actor. Read on to know the details.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Heera Mandi revolves around the lives of courtesans and prostitutes during the Indo-Pak partition. There are a few pivotal male lead parts in the film and Bhansali has apparently offered one of them to Kartik. A source was quoted saying that Kartik and Bhansali have been trying to team up for a project. However, so far nothing worked. The Padmaavat director has now offered Heera Mandi to Kartik.

“Kartik Aaryan and Bhansali have always discussed in teaming up for a film together. They have met a couple of times in the past as well but nothing worked out. Recently, he was spotted at the maverick filmmaker’s office and apparently, SLB asked him if he would like to do a role in Heera Mandi,” the source told the portal. Now it has to be seen if the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor signs the dotted line.

Meanwhile, Kartik has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Dostana 2 and Dhamaka in his kitty.
