The recent incident of a Malayalam actress’ abduction and molestation by a gang of six, who reportedly took pictures of the actress to blackmail her, came a shock to everyone around the country. People have now been raising questions on women safety in this country and just like many other Bollywood actors, Alia Bhatt is extremely saddened by the incident.
“It’s something which is not getting better at all. It makes me more sad than worried, though. It all seems so unnatural, like things that happen only in scary movies. It’s shocking that it can happen to any of us walking on the road right now. I don’t know who to turn to and question why all this has happened. There’s no answer.” (Also Read: Alia Bhatt reacts to Saroj Khan controversy, says she is absolutely right)
Alia is not however scared and is not at all planning to beef up her security. “It didn’t cross my mind at all but yeah, it could happen to anybody. But I think it’s something we have to take up seriously.”
She further said, “I don’t want to talk too much about it because I anyway feel there’s a lot of attention on it and I’m sure that’s the last thing someone who’s going through all this, would want right now. She would not want any more attention.”
This is something that everyone needs to understand.
