Ranbir Kapoor’s much-anticipated film, Animal is receiving good responses from the audience on the first day of its release. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial features Rashmika essaying the role of Arjun Singh (Ranbir Kapoor’s) wife. But did you know that the role was earlier offered to Parineeti Chopra? In a viral interview, the director revealed why Parineeti Chopra was replaced by Rashmika Mandanna in Animal.

Here’s why Rashmika Mandanna replaced Parineeti Chopra in Animal

In an interview earlier, Parineeti stated that she opted out of the film as she was busy showing for Chamkila. In a viral post on Reddit, screenshot of a report from M9 News claims that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga found Parineeti unsuitable for the part and decided to replace her. While Parineeti was disappointed with this development, the importance was given to the role and not the actress.

In an interview earlier, the Code Name Tiranga actress mentioned, “These things happen, it is a part and parcel of life. We must make such choices every day. You make the choice that is right for you.”

About Animal

Apart from Ranbir and Rashmika, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Saloni Batra, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi. The film was released theatrically today on December 1st, clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. It was earlier supposed to be released in August but was pushed back due to some pending post-production work. Animal is A certiefied with a duration of 3 hrs 23 minutes.
