Here’s why Alia Bhatt chose ‘Aashiqui 3’ over ‘Rock On 3’

There have been reports since a while now that actress Alia Bhatt will be working in father Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Aashiqui 3’. However, the actress never confirmed it officially. But, the latest statement made by the actress hinted that she would be a part of the film.

During a recent interview with a leading daily, Alia was asked if she would like to be a part of ‘Rock On 3’ to which she replied, “I would like to do the third part of ‘Aashiqui’.” This reply given by the actress also hinted another fact that she is not interested in the third instalment of the ‘Rock On’ franchise. Well, it could be due to the movie’s dismal performance at the box office. ‘Rock On 2’ starring Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor could not live up to audience expectations whereas ‘Aashiqui 2’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor was a hit at the box office.

So, it is natural for the actress to choose the romantic drama ‘Aashiqui 3’ over ‘Rock On 3’. Currently, Alia Bhatt is all geared up for Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ that features her in a lead role and also stars Shah Rukh Khan as her life coach. Apart from this movie, Alia also has ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ with Varun Dhawan and ‘Dragon’ with Ranbir Kapoor.
