With an extremely interesting story to narrate, Twinkle Khanna has managed to bring together some of the amazing stars for her first venture as a producer, ‘PadMan’. With her husband Akshay Kumar playing the male lead in the film, beautiful ladies like Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor, will also be a part of this project. We do have a fair idea about Akshay’s role in it, but now, we have got some details about Sonam’s character in the film.
As per reports, Sonam would be essaying the role of a tabla player in ‘PadMan’. And for this, she is undergoing professional training too. Sonam apparently is taking tabla lessons from a tabla player and percussionist Mukta Madan Raste for past two months. She attends the classes at least once a week and also carries a music book with her while travelling so that she can practice the lessons.
Well, that’s quite a dedication we must say!
‘PadMan’ is being directed by R Balki. It is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social entrepreneur, who invented a low-cost sanitary pad making machine to help women of rural areas. (Also Read: Sonam Kapoor to start shooting for ‘PadMan’ before ‘Veerey Di Wedding’)
