Here’s how Deepika Padukone safeguarded Karan Johar’s top secret

Karan Johar is set to premiere his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan 6’ in a few days. Following the trend of women empowerment, Johar’s show will have Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt open the show.

The father of two, Karan Johar has always been vocal about his love for both his babies – Yash and Roohi. Embracing parenthood, Karan welcomed his twins Yash and Roohi in 2017, through surrogacy. Until Karan Johar himself surprised everyone with the news, no one knew about Yash and Roohi. As reported by DNA, Deepika Padukone was perhaps the first one to know about this good news (Karan Johar was expecting the babies through surrogacy back then).

It has been said that Johar didn’t even inform his mother dearest about bringing Yash and Roohi home, nor did he tell his Bollywood BFF Shah Rukh Khan. As per an article in the DNA, KJo shared the news with the dimpled girl accidentally and she kept the secret like a true buddy.

Apparently, it has been said that Karan Johar made the revelation on the sets of his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan 6’ while shooting the opening episode with Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. As revealed by a source, “Karan recalls that neither his mother Hiroo Johar, nor his brother Shah Rukh Khan had any inkling about his parenthood plans. And until he himself announced it a couple of months later, Deepika was the only one who knew about it and kept her promise of not breathing a word to anyone.”

Meanwhile, Karan Johar is currently gearing up for his next directorial ‘Takht’. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor in lead roles.
