Here’s how Janhvi Kapoor played a big role in Khushi Kapoor’s acting debut

Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her debut in Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. The first look and cast announcement video was released on Saturday. Khushi Kapoor will be essaying the role of Betty Cooper in the upcoming musical drama. The young star kid received a lot of love from her friends and family. Now, Boney Kapoor has opened up about his daughter’s big Bollywood debut.

When asked if Khushi always wanted to pursue acting like her mother Sridevi, Boney told ETimes, “Kids don’t come out with their true ambitions right from the start. They start by saying, ‘I want to do modelling and other things’. They keep getting diverted from their main ambition. Finally, when they cross the age of 19-20, the thought that they want to act develops firmly in their mind. Who doesn’t like glamour? Who doesn’t like getting attention? Everyone in the world likes it whether it is in the entertainment field, academic field or sports world.”

Boney went on to add that his daughter started thinking about having a career in acting when her sister Janhvi made her debut. He said, “Khushi had expressed her desire to become an actor after Janhvi started shooting for Dhadak in 2018. That’s why we sent her to New York Film School in 2019. If Sridevi was around, she would have supported her like she supported Janhvi.”

Khushi is one of the most active star kids on Instagram. On Saturday, she shared the teaser of her debut film and captioned, “Ain’t nothing like old school. Grab your gang ‘cause the Archies are coming soon on @netflix.in!” Her BFF Aaliyah Kashyap, sister Anshula Kapoor, Navya Naveli Nanda among others showered her with love.
