Here’s an interesting detail about Shahid Kapoor’s next after ‘Padmavati’

Shahid Kapoor was last seen on the big screen in ‘Rangoon’ which was an intense romantic drama. Before that he had done ‘Udta Punjab’, and his next ‘Padmavati’ is a period drama. Well, it’s been long since we saw Shahid in a light-hearted film and even his fans are quite keen to see him in a movie of the said genre.

Yesterday, Shahid’s first look from ‘Padmavati’ was unveiled and the actor nails it as Maharawal Ratan Singh. While he has received a great response for his look, he decided to chat with his fans today.

So, when he was interacting with his fans on Twitter, a fan named Aman asked him, “Gabru Are we gonna see u in a light hearted film in near future??” To which the actor replied, “Yes post #padmavati.”

There have been a lot of reports about Shahid’s next film after ‘Padmavati’. While nothing has been announced till date, one thing we have come to know is that the actor’s next movie after the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial will be a light-hearted flick.

Talking about ‘Padmavati’, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. While Deepika plays the titular role, Ranveer will be seen as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The movie is slated to hit the screens on December 1, 2017, and we simply can’t wait for it.
