Here’s what later happens to the costumes Bollywood actors wear in films

Numerous times, Bollywood actors have influenced our fashion goals. From a family wedding to the first date, Bollywood is mostly an inspiration behind how we dress up. And why not? The industry is full of talented designers who come up with breathtakingly beautiful attires and we can’t take our eyes off the actors on screen.

However, have you ever wondered what happens to all those dresses after the film is over? The answer is surely going to sadden you.

Most of the times, all those brilliant, artistic creations are forgotten in dark. As per a report in Mid-Day, Ayesha Khanna, a stylist for Yash Raj Films claims that they are stored inside boxes with the concerned film’s name and kept in the production house itself.

So it never serves any purpose again? Well, it does. At times, they are unstitched again and used for another film for the same production house. This is done with utmost care so that you never notice having seen it anywhere before. Or, they are also used by junior artistes at times.
