Saif-Ali-Khan-and-Salman-Khan

The first two instalments of Ramesh Taurani’s ‘Race’ proved to be fantastic at the box office. Saif Ali Khan played the pivotal role in both the instalments and was loved by the audience for his intense role. But unfortunately, in the third one, we will not get to see Saif showing off his car racing skills. It’s Salman Khan who has taken over the charge and would be seen romancing Jacqueline Fernandez. But one wonders why no Saif Ali Khan in the third one.

At the trailer launch of ‘Chef’, Saif was quizzed about whether or not he was approached for this film, to which he said, “No, no. Ramesh Taurani (Producer) said to me ‘I want to make a ‘Race 3′, but I want to make a new movie. I want to take a new cast.’ We spoke about it and I love Ramesh ji. And who better than Salman Khan? I wish them both all the best. But, I have not been approached for the film.”

It was only recently that it was confirmed by the makers that Salman and Jacqueline would be the lead in this film and Remo would be directing it. Mumbai Mirror had quoted Ramesh Taurani, saying, “As of now, Salman and Jacqueline have been finalised for the lead while Remo D’Souza is directing it. We are yet to lock the rest of the cast and crew. We start shooting on a set in Mumbai in October, followed by a long international schedule. We are currently figuring out the dates and foreign locations. The story is set abroad and will be completely different instead of taking off from the previous two films.” Apparently, Amitabh Bachchan too was a part of this film, but then Ramesh Taurani quashed all these rumours.
