Sushant Singh Rajput has a dual role in ‘Raabta’, one of a modern Shiv and other of a warrior Jilaan. The actor had gone through extensive training in martial arts for his role of Jilaan. Not just this, the actor worked a lot on his voice, body language, and mannerisms to get his performance right.
A source said, “It was a drastic transformation as there is no similarity whatsoever in the two characters he plays in the film. For Sushant’s warrior look there were makeup artists called all the way from Los Angeles. For getting the action scenes right, Sushant travelled to Bangkok and trained for martial arts and gymnastics. He also worked intensely on his body to ensure he looked the part of a warrior. It was extremely challenging to play two roles simultaneously even for a seasoned actor like Sushant, especially since they are poles apart from one another but he managed to pull it off and the results are for all to see.”
The movie which is directed by Dinesh Vijan also stars Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh, and is slated to release on June 9, 2017. (Also Read: Jim Sarbh gives a fitting reply to a Twitter troll who compared ‘Raabta’ with ‘Magadheera’)
