Deepika Padukone at ‘Padmavati’ 3D trailer launch

Deepika Padukone is gearing up for the release of her upcoming magnum opus ‘Padmavati’. Along with the actress who is playing the titular role, the film stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Recently there were reports that suggested that suggested the actress has been paid a remuneration more than her male co-stars Shahid and Ranveer. Reportedly, Deepika was getting paid a whopping amount of Rs 13 crore, while the other two actors were being paid Rs 10 crore. Now finally, Deepika has chosen to speak about it in one of her interactions with the media at an event held for ‘Padmavati’.

Recently, the makers screened the trailer of ‘Padmavati’ in 3D where Deepika said, “Talking about my remuneration is exciting. But I am proud and confident about the money I get. But what makes me happy is that they have invested so much money in a film which has a poster featuring me on it. That makes me proud. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Padmavati’ is slated to release on December 1.
