As many would know, post the Uri attacks, political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had banned Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, and even demanded that they leave the country. After filmmaker Karan Johar, Hansal Mehta, Anurag Kashyap and actor Varun Dhawan, Bollywood’s Nawab Saif Ali Khan, is the latest celeb who has expressed his views on this issue. The actor has said that the Indian film industry is open for talent across the border but it is up to the Government to decide who will be allowed to work here.
Saif Ali Khan, who was attending GQ Men of the Year awards on Tuesday evening, spoke about this issue while interacting with the reporters. He said, “This (cross-cultural exchange) should definitely be encouraged. The industry is open to world talent, especially from across the border. But the government has to decide these things.”
“We are artistes and we will talk about love and peace. But the government has to take such decisions about law and who to allow to work here and who isn’t,” added the actor. [sic]
When it comes to films, Saif Ali Khan will be next seen in ‘Rangoon’ along with Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut and ‘Chef’ which is an official remake of a Hollywood film of the same name, helmed by ‘Airlift’ director Raja Krishna Menon.
