It’s true that Bollywood stars have been been working in some prestigious Hollywood projects of late. Recently, actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone were in news for making their Hollywood debut. But we heard they also had to let go of some Bollywood projects for that. However, to our surprise, here’s an actor who has turned down an ambitious international project following his commitment with his upcoming film. Don’t believe us? It’s a fact and it’s none other than actor Ali Fazal who has turned down a lucrative offer for  ‘Fukrey Returns‘.
According to a report, Ali Fazal was yet to complete the shoot of the last song of his much-anticipated sequel ‘Fukrey Returns’ , the much anticipated sequel of ‘Fukrey’, wherein he would be seen donning long hair with a rugged look. Meanwhile, Ali was offered an international web show by a leading Hollywood production team. He was approached to play one of the leads and required to give three months of nonstop shooting in LA to complete the first season.
But! The actor was asked to clean-shave and maintain a crew cut. Everything fell in place, but the only hitch was maintaining short hair and clean-shaven look since Ali had to complete the shoot of ‘Fukrey Returns’. It was a matter of maintaining the continuity of his film’s look to avoid any monetary loss to the producers.(Also Read: Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Diana Penty-starrer ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi‘ sequel to be shot in China)
After much negotiation and calculation, Ali decided to let go of that international project as he didn’t want his producers and team of ‘Fukrey Returns’ to suffer because of him.
Reports suggest that the shoot of this song has earlier been postponed due to the unavailability of Ali as he was shooting for ‘Victoria and Abdul’. Certainly, this time the actor didn’t want the entire team to suffer because of him yet again.
Well, we must say it’s a very courageous decision taken on Ali’s part.
Talking about the film ‘Fukrey Returns’, it is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and will see actors Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha along with Ali Fazal reprising their characters from the part one with a few new additions as well.
The film is slated to release on December 8, 2017.
