Kabir Khan is one director today who is on every actor’s wish list to work with. The director who began his filmmaking journey with ‘Kabul Express’ was considered a brilliant storyteller with his second film ‘New York.’ Recently the director talked about this film where he revealed that it was his ‘Bajrangi’ star Salman Khan who convinced Katrina Kaif to do this movie.
Recently, Kabir Khan was interviewed where the director said that while working on ‘New York’ his producer Aditya Chopra had suggested the name of Katrina who fit the role of an half-Indian half-Caucasian. After hearing the narration, the actress was confused about doing this part. When she talked about this role with Salman Khan he asked her about the director’s name to which she replied the name of Kabir Khan. Salman, who already met Kabir previously advised her saying, “Aankhein band kar ke haan bol do.”
Kabir Khan stills feels very happy about the trust a superstar like Salman Khan showed towards a new filmmaker like him. ‘New York’ proved to be one of the most important roles for Katrina Kaif who received good positive reviews from everyone for her performance in the film.
The association of Kabir Khan and Katrina Kaif then went on to do two more films with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Phantom.’
Quiet, resonant, and creative, he can be seen immersed in his own world, and puts in his heart and soul into the one passion that he has, Bollywood. His line for survival? Feel happy to be a part of it.
